
Ohio Northern University will celebrate its Homecoming & Reunion Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3 and 4, offering a full line-up of activities for alumni, students, and the local community.
The weekend includes opportunities for alumni to reconnect with friends while enjoying a including campus and college tours, reunion gatherings, tailgating, and much more. The weekend also includes many events open to the general public, including a parade, concerts, and sporting events.
A Homecoming parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, on Main Street in Ada. This year’s grand marshals are Jennifer Kinsley Smith, BS ’10, JD ’13 and Rob Roll, BSBA ’13, MSA ’14—the 2025 recipients of ONU’s William L. Robinson Young Alumni Award. They are being recognized for their passion and loyalty toward their profession, community, and alma mater.
Additional Homecoming & Reunion Weekend events for the public to enjoy include:
- A free Homecoming Choral Concert in Presser Hall’s Snyder Recital Hall on Friday at 8 p.m.
- Tours of the newly-renovated second floor of Heterick Memorial Library, the Mifsud Center for Student Success, on Saturday, from 9-10:15 a.m.
- Art + Design Exhibition, “Eight Structures: Four Prompts,” featuring imaginative problem-solving through the process of bookmaking, in the Elzay Gallery of Art, Friday and Saturday, from 12-4 p.m.
- ONU vs. Marietta men’s soccer match at Kerscher Stadium on Saturday at 2 p.m. The men’s soccer program is celebrating its 50th anniversary this season.
- ONU vs. Marietta football game at 5 p.m. Saturday in Dial-Roberson Stadium. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
- “The Mad Ones, An Original Musical,” a small and intimate musical that tells the story of 18-year-old Samantha Brown, who sits in her car at a crossroads in her life confronted by guilt and grief, plus pressure from her overbearing mother to excel. Will she follow her mother’s footsteps, or take the dare of her impetuous best friend and follow a new path?
