Ohio Northern University takes all complaints and concerns very seriously.  This page provides information regarding how complaints can be filed, in compliance with HEA Title IV, CFR 34, Sections 600.9 (a)(1) and 668.43(b).

ONU Complaint Process

Students enrolled in a course or program at Ohio Northern University who have concerns and/or complaints should follow Ohio Northern University complaint procedures listed below.

If an issue cannot be resolved internally, students may file a complaint with the Ohio Department of Higher Education.  Students may also contact our accrediting agency, the Higher Learning Commission, regarding academic quality or accrediting standards.,

 

SARA State Complaint Process

Students enrolled in a course or program that takes place in a SARA state outside of Ohio must first follow ONU’s procedures for the resolution of complaints.  If a student bringing a complaint is not satisfied with the outcome of that process, the complaint (except for complaints about grades or student conduct violations) may be appealed to the Ohio SARA Portal Entity
