WHAT DO I GET?
The Ohio Northern University Math and Engineering Education Scholarship awards an average of $20,000 per year to Ohio Northern’s junior and senior math education and engineering education majors. This is in addition to everything else included in that student’s financial aid package.
WHAT DO I GIVE?
To be eligible, all you have to do is pledge that, after graduating, you’ll spend two years in a high-need school district for every year you receive the scholarship. There are high-need school districts all over the U.S. Many local school districts have been designated as high-need, too, including Elida, Lima, Perry, Findlay, Kenton, Piqua, Dayton, Toledo and Leipsic.
WHAT DO I NEED?
To keep the scholarship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and participate in at least 40 hours of experiential learning activities per year. These activities include outreach events; student clubs devoted to engineering, education and math; summer research; and internships.
