• Major in computer science if you want to help develop the software engines that run AI, or if you would like to use AI to enhance your programming creativity and efficiency.
• Major in computer engineering if you are interested in leveraging AI to design the next generation of computer hardware.
• Major in electrical engineering to learn how to apply AI to systems that interact with the world, like robotics, UAVs, and critical infrastructure like the electric power grid.

Choose Your Path

ONU’s Artificial Intelligence concentration welcomes students in our electrical, computer engineering, or computer science bachelor’s degree programs. The curriculum requires 128 to 131 credit hours, depending on your major, to complete your bachelor’s degree with a concentration in artificial intelligence.

Through our rigorous yet hands-on coursework, you gain a solid foundation in the principles of artificial intelligence and develop your skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.

Competition Teams

Want to build a concrete canoe, radio-controlled airplane or off-road vehicle that can stand up to the competition? Every year ONU teams travel to regional and national competitions where they’re pitted against engineering students from top schools across the U.S. We’re proud of our excellent standings year after year in these competitions.
