At ONU, we welcome diversity in all its forms. When you surround yourself with people from different backgrounds and cultures, you begin to look at the world through a new lens. And that leads to understanding and inspiration.
Explore and experience diversity
Come together with the campus community to learn about diversity and celebrate different cultures. Every year ONU sponsors numerous events that foster fellowship and inclusiveness.
Dimension Award Scholar Program
Find the support you need to excel at ONU! Our Dimension Award Scholar Program provides financial assistance, social programming and academic support to students from racial or ethnic backgrounds that are underrepresented at ONU.
About the Dimension Award ($1,000-7,000 per year)
Ohio Northern University is committed to recruiting students from all segments of society and supporting their retention to graduation. The purpose of the Dimension Award is to offer financial assistance to incoming freshmen and transfers who are from underrepresented racial or ethnic backgrounds. Award amounts are based on academic credentials and financial need.
Students who reflect and embrace the diversity of the U.S. and the world have access to a wide-range of national and international external scholarships and opportunities. We work with you one-on-one to identify all the awards available that match your needs, interests and circumstances. Many awards are based on characteristics such as academic success, service to community, research, world wisdom (study abroad), leadership, internships, and publications. We help you achieve these characteristics and become a competitive applicant.
Dimension Scholars have access to educational programs on the financial aid process. We show you how to review your annual financial aid awards and how to assist your family in completing the financial aid process.
Dimension Scholars engage with our counseling and health services staff as well as other students to gain useful knowledge about how to be proactive pertaining to their social and physical health and well-being.
