Ohio Northern continues to closely monitor the weather conditions. The leadership team will meet early on Friday, Feb. 4 to determine if an additional delay or closing will be necessary. The information will be communicated by 6 a.m.
Hardin County is now under a Level 3 Snow Emergency. Roadways are closed to all non-emergency travel due to extremely hazardous conditions. No one should be on the roadway unless it is absolutely essential to travel. Those operating vehicles on the roadway for non-emergency reasons may be subject to arrest.
Ohio Northern University takes seriously the safety and well-being of our campus community. With the winter storm conditions, the University will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 3. Essential employees please report as scheduled or contact your supervisor. Academic buildings and the libraries are closed until further notice. McIntosh Center, Starbucks and WoW will open for students during regular hours. The King Horn facility will open at noon and close at 11 p.m. COVID-19 testing in Stambaugh Hall is closed.
The University is transitioning to virtual classes on Thursday, Feb. 3. Students should check their email for further instructions from their faculty. If a student has not received an email at least two hours prior to the start of the class, the student should assume the class will not meet virtually.
