Meet the newest Polar Bears, and get to know Ohio Northern University’s newest undergraduate class with these fun facts and statistics.
This year we welcomed our largest incoming class in over a decade with 759 first-year students.
While the majority of our students hail from Ohio (84%), 23 additional states, and 12 countries are represented in the class, including Belize, Ethiopia, Japan, India, Spain and South Korea!
With an average high school GPA of 3.84, this class is ready to shine in the classroom!
Generation Z is:
- Tech-savvy “digital natives”
- Pragmatic and career-focused
- Socially-conscious and globally aware
This class was born in 2006 and 2007 when:
- Apple iPhone hit the market
- Twitter launched
- Nintendo Wii changed gaming
- Great Recession was looming
