The Office of Financial Affairs provides accurate, timely, centralized accounting and financial analytical services in order to assist students, administration, faculty and staff, and other outside constituencies in the efficient and effective management, monitoring and control of the financial resources of Ohio Northern University.

Budget and Planning is responsible for maintaining accountability for all business activities, providing adequate resources to achieve identified goals, and delivering the highest level of efficient and accessible service through the use of technology.

Vice President for Financial Affairs
Business Services, located at 211 Union Street, has oversight of the offices of Printing and Mail Services, Purchasing, and the University Stockroom; serves as the liaison with the University Bookstore; and is responsible for a variety of applications throughout the campus community, including risk management activities, travel services and laundry, and beverage and snack vending.

The Office of the Controller provides financial support to the University community. Our services consist of providing accurate and timely information in regards to processing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, complying with regulatory requirements and tracking funds.

The Office of Human Resources is responsible for the implementation and communication of the ONU’s personnel policies and procedures, the hiring process, completion of records related to employment, performance management and evaluation, and administration of employment benefits. It also ensures compliance with state and federal regulations related to employment and benefits administration and sponsors events to promote and develop community.

The Physical Plant maintains the 342-acre Ohio Northern campus, which includes 60 buildings; 190 acres of mowing area; 40 acres of blacktop; 16 acres of woods; 18 miles of sidewalks; 9.5 acres of lakes; numerous athletic fields; 120 varieties of trees and shrubs; 6,000 tulips, daffodils and crocus; 500 mums; and 3,500 annuals.
Marc Staley, Director of Facilities
The mission of the Department of Public Safety is to protect students, faculty, staff and visitors as well as to preserve personal and University property from damage and loss. The responsibility for developing and maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment belongs to all members of the campus community. The department provides expertise and educational services in the areas of self-protection, crime prevention, personal security, workplace safety and environmental health.
