Lillian Scheirich, violin, and Mary Siciliano, piano, present a program titled French Connections at the turn of the 20th Century featuring pieces by Jacques de la Presle, Maurice Ravel, Gabriel Fauré and Fernand de la Tombelle. The concert is free and open to the public.

Scheirich began her studies in Windsor and at the Detroit Community Music School, later attending the Mozarteum in Salzburg and earning degrees in Violin Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music. She has performed at numerous festivals including Blossom, Great Music West, and Fairbanks, and has taught at Western University and currently at the University of Windsor. A dedicated educator and adjudicator, she has judged for competitions across Canada and Michigan, including the JUNO Awards. She has recorded three chamber music CDs with pianist Mary Siciliano and toured France performing works by Jacques de la Presle. Scheirich has been a member of the Windsor Symphony Orchestra for nearly 40 years, serving as Concertmaster since 1991. She was awarded the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in Music and currently plays on a copy of a Pailliot violin.

Siciliano is a collaborative pianist known for her work with chamber musicians across the United States, Canada, and France. She has performed and recorded extensively, including world premiere recordings of Richard Stöhr on Toccata Classics and chamber works by Jacques de la Presle, Pierre de Bréville, Fernand de la Tombelle, Ignatz Waghalter, and Nicolas Bacri on the Centaur label. She is a frequent partner to both established and emerging artists, and her performances have been broadcast on CBC, WRCJ, and other classical stations. Her musical partnerships are marked by expressive nuance, stylistic range, and a strong commitment to underrepresented repertoire. Siciliano co-founded Chamber Music with Piano, a summer program at Madonna University, and curates the Pleyel Piano Series at the Scarab Club in Detroit. In addition to her active performing career, she maintains a vibrant private studio and presents regular workshops and masterclasses across the region.
