Goldman Lecture Set for March 26th
Third District Court of Appeals Judge Juergen A. Waldick, JD ’85, will deliver this year’s Goldman Lecture, drawing on his extensive career as a prosecutor to explore the ethical challenges that shape real-world decision-making. Through interactive scenarios, Judge Waldick will ask students to wrestle with tough questions from the prosecutor’s perspective—where discretion, justice, and responsibility collide.

Before joining the bench, Judge Waldick served as Allen County Prosecutor in Lima, Ohio, prosecuting thousands of felony cases. His career spans public service across multiple prosecutor’s offices, private practice, and leadership at the state and national levels. A longtime educator, he has taught at Ohio Northern University’s Pettit College of Law, the National Advocacy Center, and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy, and previously served as President of the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association.
