A retired technology and industrial arts educator and generous giver to ONU, Halderman is well-known as an innovator and problem-solver. As a professor, his chalkboard explanations simplified complex subject matter and his self-published course packs of his notes greatly benefited students. While an ONU student, he built Ada’s first electric car, thus exemplifying his talent for industrial creativity that serves practical purposes. In 2020 Dr. Halderman’s gift to the Getty College of Arts & Sciences provided technology students with additional tools and resources to gain a competitive edge in their career fields.
