The CS+X program pairs with almost every major and minor at ONU. So, you could double major in CS+X and history and end up managing a museum’s website, or you could double major in CS+X and sport management and end up overseeing the ticketing platform for a professional sports team. The opportunities are endless.
Through your academic journey, you’ll master several computer programming languages and learn how to creatively apply this knowledge to devise solutions in any industry. CS+X is your main degree program, and your home is the College of Engineering. However, you are required to declare another major or minor in a field you’re passionate about.
You'll need 126 credit hours to earn your Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science + X. A second major or minor is required for this degree.
Here are some of the courses you'll take:
• Introductory Programming
• Web Development
• Landscapes of Computer Science
• Databases
• Object - Oriented Programing
Collaborate with your mentors and peers and experiment with your next ideas at ONU’s James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building. This 105,000-square-foot facility offers lab and large-scale project space for capstone projects, competitive design projects, and other direct industry engagement. Our supportive environment fosters direct industry engagement and hands-on learning experiences that prepare you for real-world challenges.
Want to build a high-power rocket, concrete canoe, radio-controlled airplane or off-road vehicle that can stand up to the competition? Every year ONU teams travel to regional and national competitions where they’re pitted against engineering students from top schools across the U.S. We’re proud of our excellent standings year after year in these competitions.
