A minimum of 18 and a total of 24 credit hours can be accrued by taking courses on topics such as cells and molecules, genes and organisms, human anatomy, histology and/or medical physiology.

Pharmacy students may substitute one of the Medical Physiology courses (BIOL 3241 or 3251) with both the corresponding physiology course (BIOL 3311 Physiology 1 or BIOL 3321 Physiology 2) and BIOL 3221 Bioscience Laboratory.
