McIntosh Center serves as a community center for the University. It is a place where students and other members of the University community are encouraged to meet and share talents, interests and ideas.
McIntosh Center houses the offices of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Residence Life, Student Involvement, Greek Life, and the Director of the center. It also has the White Bear Inn dining facility, faculty and staff dining facility, cafeteria-style dining room, the Wishing Well formal dining area, an activities room, a ballroom for meetings, banquets, exhibits, movies, and dances, conference rooms, a faculty lounge, the campus mail room and the bookstore.
Many student organizations are housed in McIntosh Center, including The Northern Review (campus newspaper), Student Senate, The Northern Yearbook, Student Planning Committee, Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Council.
