Housing Placement
New Students
Housing assignments for new students take place after summer orientation.
To complete your housing application, please go to the following link: https://thd.onu.edu/applyonlineonu/ (The housing application for 2011-2012 is now closed. Please contact the Office of Residence Life to arrange housing.)
All housing assignments are subject to change.
Returning Undergraduate Students
The housing selection and lottery process for upper-class students takes place during spring semester in preparation for fall semester. You will receive an e-mail to your ONU account, informing you of about this process.
Please remember that if you are requesting roommate(s), each roommate must place a request to room with the other parties. Be sure to do this when completing the online form.
If you are not completely satisfied with the room you select in the housing lottery, you can ask to be placed on a waiting list for the room type you would like to have.
For students who withdraw mid-way through the semester, housing costs are not refunded after week 5.

Meal Plans
Meals at ONU are provided by Sodexho/Marriott. Ohio Northern University is proud to offer a Carte Blanche meal plan-- you'll have enough swipes for every meal time!
Carte Blanche allows a student to have access to a meal using a swipe during all operational hours from Dining Services, up to 4 meals per day. Carte Blanche means that a student is not limited to 19 meals or 14 meals or 10 meals per week. Students will have access to meals up to 28 times per week using their ONU student ID, and may use one meal for each meal period. Meal periods run from 7a.m. - 10:30a.m, 10:30a.m. - 4p.m., 4p.m. - 8p.m., and 8p.m. to midnight.
In addition, the Carte Blanche plan includes an additional $250 in meal plan points per semester to use at Bear Necessities, White Bear Inn and NOM. Meal plan points are also accepted at every location, if they have already used their meal for that designated meal period.
For more information, visit the Dining Services page.
