Psychology and Sociology

Department Highlights

A rigorous and contemporary curriculum provides students with the foundation they need to succeed in their chosen field.

A faculty focused on teaching and professional mentoring ensures individualized attention for all or our students. Whether in the classroom or laboratory, the faculty are totally committed to encourage students to develop skills and experience for the real-world demands of the students' future career.

Preparation for graduate and professional programs has recently placed our graduates in graduate programs at The Ohio State University, Case Western Reserve University, the University of Louisville, the University of Cincinnati and Pepperdine University to mention but a few.

Faculty-fostered student research has appeared in a variety of publications including Journal of Offender Rehabilitiation, The Journal of Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences, International Review of Modern Sociology, Readings in Deviant Behavior, Mental Health Issues in the Criminal Justice System and The College Student Journal.
