Pre-LLM English & Legal Study Program
American LLM degree
Are you an international lawyer who would like an American LLM degree but are concerned about your English language ability? While American law schools accept a range TOEFL or IELTS scores depending on the school, generally the higher ranked the LLM program the higher the required score. The Pre-LLM & Legal Study program at ONU is designed to boost your TOEFL or IELTS score to expand your opportunity for LLM study in the United States. You need a TOEFL IBT of at least 60 or an IELTS of 5.5 to take advantage of the training we can provide. In addition to this intense English language study, the ONU program will introduce you to the demanding nature of American legal studies and give you experience in testing techniques used by the law schools and bar examiners. Upon completion of the certificate program you will have both the language and study skills required for a successful LLM experience. Our goal is to assist you in getting prepared for the LLM program of your choice after your year at ONU.
