Chrysler high performance vehicles visit ONU
The Chrysler SRT (Street and Racing Technology) High Performance Vehicle Tour will come to Ohio Northern University on Oct. 22. From 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., prior to the ONU vs. John Carroll football game, four high performance machines will be on display outside Dial-Roberson stadium.
The event is thanks to ONU mechanical engineering senior, Kelly Casanova from Copley, Ohio, who interned for the Chrysler Group in Auburn Hills, Mich., last summer. The four SRT vehicles on display will be the Chrysler 300 SRT8, Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, and the Dodge Charger SRT8.
Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) represents the highest echelon of engineering expertise. Five key benchmarks must be met before a vehicle can wear the SRT badge. Awe-inspiring power train, outstanding ride, handling and capability, benchmark braking, an aggressive and functional exterior and a race-inspired and high-performance interior are the hallmarks of an SRT vehicle. Since SRT’s inception, ten vehicles have earned the SRT badge.
