What Homecoming weekend lacked in sunshine was more than made up for with peace, love and ONU spirit.

There were more than a few groovy costumes at this year's parade as everyone seemed to enjoy reliving the Summer of Love in Ada.

The chilly temperatures didn't hamper any of the fun at the tailgate and carnival, and the Polar Bears almost pulled out a thrilling victory against top-ranked Mt. Union in the mud at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The evening culminated with a variation of the annual Balloon Glow due to the weather. High winds forced the activity indoors where children and adults alike marveled at the chance to walk around inside a hot air balloon.

But the weather didn't interfere with another spectacular fireworks display, and the Bill Medley concert at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts brought down the house.
