Otterbein defeats Mount Union 5-1 in the OAC Women's Tennis Tournament to move into finals

MASON - In the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals, second-seeded Otterbein defeated third-seeded Mount Union by a 5-1 score at the Lindner Family Tennis Center Friday afternoon.

Megan Anders led the way for Otterbein with two wins on the day to push Otterbein’s season record to 18-4 while Mount Union’s season ends at a 15-5 mark.

Anders won her No. 4 singles matchup over Mari Miki 6-4, 6-2 and teamed with Kylie Hammons to defeat Miki and Elyse Underwood 8-1 at No. 3 doubles.

At No. 6 singles, Sarah Jenney beat Courtney Adamski 6-3, 6-4.

The teams of Brittany Rings and Cheryl Thinnes, as well as Jena Smith and Megan Asterino won their No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches by scores of 9-7 and 8-1, respectively.

The Purple Raiders picked up their lone win at No. 1 singles, where Kacey Huff defeated Rings 6-4, 6-0.
