Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mohti, assistant professor of civil engineering, has received a National Science Foundation grant to attend the U.S. and Canadian Conference on Earthquake Engineering.
The ninth U.S. National and Tenth Canadian Conference on Earthquake Engineering will be July 25-29 in Toronto, Canada. This conference brings together researchers and practitioners to share the latest knowledge and techniques for understanding and mitigating the effects of earthquakes.
The conference is jointly organized by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and the Canadian Association for Earthquake Engineering. It will bring together U.S. and Canadian colleagues, as well as other participants from around the world from the fields of architecture, structural engineering, seismology, geology, geophysics, geotechnical engineering, business, public policy, social sciences, regional planning, emergency response planning and regulation
