The destruction caused by drunk driving is undeniable and many lives are affected by this irresponsible action every year. The issue of drunk driving has been investigated by many researchers but most research focuses on the prevalence and consequences of this problematic behavior. Unfortunately, few studies have sought to identify predictors of drunk driving by college students. The current paper reports the results of a study involving a national sample of college aged students to indicate what type of demographic predictors lead to drunk driving. A study on the predictors of drunk driving is vital in the process of preventing this type of reckless behavior because when the cause of this behavior is known then possible preventative measures can be taken.
