Carhart Lecture kicks off ONU Law’s 2024 spring lecture series
Associate Dean for External Engagement and Professor of Law at University of Notre Dame Nicole Stelle Garnett will kick off Ohio Northern University College of Law’s 2024 spring lecture series next week.
The Carhart Lecture will be held on Thursday, March 28th at 11 a.m. in Tilton Hall, Room 129 and is free and open to the public. Garnett’s speech is titled, “School Choice and Religious Liberty After Carson v. Makin.”
The Supreme Court ruled in Carson v. Makin that the state of Maine must fund religious education at private religious schools as part of its tuition assistance program. The program pays for students to attend private school if their town does not have a public high school.
