I need help coping with stressful situations >
Make an appointment with ONU’s Counseling Center by calling 419-772-2190, or call the 24-hour mental-health crisis hotline at 1-800-567-4673. They have counselors available 24 hours a day. Both the Counseling Center and the hotline can help you with stressors like:

  • Living with a new roommate
  • Class work
  • Family life
  • Issues with friends
  • Adjusting to life on campus

I am sick and need to see a doctor >
Call the Health Center at 419-772-2086. The Health Center is open Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m., Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Health Center is closed on Saturday.

Where can I fill a prescription? >
The on-campus ONU HealthWise Pharmacy is located in the pharmacy building and is open Monday to Friday form 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 419-772-DRUG (3784).

How can I get emergency notifications from campus? >
If there’s an imminent threat to someone’s personal safety, or if there is an emergency in progress, please call 911 or Campus Security at 2222 (on-campus phone) or 419-772-2222 (non-campus phone). ONU uses Nixle for safe and secure emergency communications. Sign up for text or email alerts at local.nixle.com/register/.

How can I get an on-campus job? >
Contact the Office of Polar Careers at 419-772-2145 or career@onu.edu. They also offer career planning and help obtaining an internship.

How can I travel and study abroad while enrolled at ONU? >
Schedule an advising appointment by contacting the study abroad office at 419-772-3156 or studyabroad@onu.edu.
