Service and Civic Engagement
Ohio Northern University has announced a new program, “Get Connected ONU!” which is geared towards connecting ONU students for volunteer work with local nonprofit agencies and service organizations in West Central Ohio.
ONU students can sign up on the newly formed Get Connected ONU! website, which allows users to search online for volunteer opportunities both in the local community and near home. The website also will allow students to track their volunteer hours.
“ONU has always been committed to giving back to the community, and we feel this new program is a great way for ONU students to get that opportunity and benefit both the students and the surrounding area,” said David MacDonald, ONU chaplain and organizer of “Get Connected ONU!”
All ONU students on campus can easily set up a Get Connected ONU! account through the single sign-on system. More volunteer opportunities will be added to the website on a regular basis.
Organizations that would like to use Get Connected ONU! as a tool for recruiting individuals for existing volunteer opportunities can contact MacDonald at email@example.com
