Dr. Kristen Finley Sobota
Prior to joining the Raabe College of Pharmacy at ONU in 2007, Kristen Finley Sobota graduated Summa Cum Laude from the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2006 and was an ambulatory care pharmacy practice resident at Ohio State University. Her clinical practice site included five community health clinics (Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers Inc.) that served a multi-cultural and indigent population. At ONU, she is an associate professor of pharmacy practice and served as the director of outreach programming from 2009-15. She currently teaches in the profession of pharmacy series, pharmacy calculations, over-the-counter products, physical assessment and various community/ambulatory topics. Finley Sobota is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) and certified geriatric pharmacist (CGP) and holds numerous certifications from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), including medication therapy management (MTM), immunizations, lipids and diabetes. She is the current co-advisor of the student organization the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) as well as an active member in the national ASCP professional affiliation. Her recognitions include the 2015 ONU Outstanding Pharmacy Practice Professor, the 2015 ONU Advisor of the Year, the 2014 West Virginia University School of Pharmacy Centennial Hall of Fame, the 2012 Ohio Pharmacists Association Young Pharmacist of the Year, the 2010 NACDS Community Pharmacy Faculty Award, and the 2009 ONU Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year.
