Dr. Jeffery C. Allison

Professor of Pharmacy Practice
Pharmacy Practice
525 S. Main Street
Ada, OH 45810

In 1971, I graduated from Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy, married my college sweetheart, and worked in retail pharmacy for a few years.  Prior to coming to ONU in 1994, I was a pharmacist at St Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, Ohio where I focused on patient education and more involvement of pharmacist in what was termed as pharmaceutical care at the time.   I became part of the team who would teach classes to oncology patients and their families, psychiatric patients and their families, and diabetic patients and their families.  I had the privilege of being a member for the first hospice team started at SRMC and initiated the pharmacist ACLS certification and membership with the cardiac arrest response team.  In the fall of 1994 I started teaching therapeutics for the College of Pharmacy and in the spring of 1995, I became the first Doctor of Pharmacy degree graduate from ONU.
