ONU Wind Orchestra: "Setting the Standard"
“Setting the Standard” features standard wind band literature from British and American composers, including Percy Grainger’s Lincolnshire Posy, Gustav Holst’s Second Suite in F for Military Band and Vincent Persichetti’s Symphony for Band.
The ONU Wind Orchestra, directed by Dr. Thomas Hunt, performs collegiate- and professional-level literature for wind band. Membership is by competitive audition held at the beginning of the school year.
In May 2014, the group traveled to Europe for a 13-day concert tour. The next tour is scheduled for May 2017 and will include concerts in Germany and Luxembourg as well as three days in Berlin.
