We are pleased to invite you to a reception introducing Ohio Northern University’s Institute For Civics and Public Policy in Washington D.C. on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Ohio Northern is proud to have Director Robert Alexander, professor of political science and Founding Director of the Institute,  presenting at the reception.

The Institute for Civics and Public Policy (ICAPP) at Ohio Northern University is a non-partisan, education based community of scholars dedicated to conducting high-quality research to support civic literacy and an informed understanding of public policies with a focus on those issues affecting citizens in the Industrial Midwest.  

Robert Alexander is a professor of political science and Founding Director of the Institute for Civics and Public Policy at Ohio Northern University. His pioneering work on presidential electors has positioned him as an expert on the Electoral College. He has published four books and his work has appeared in numerous academic journals. Dr. Alexander has won over a dozen teaching awards and currently serves on the National Executive Committee for Pi Sigma Alpha and on the National Liaison Advisory Board for The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Professor Alexander is a frequent media contributor, having appeared in hundreds of print and television outlets including USA Today, CNN.com, NPR, the New York Times, BBC, Christian Science Monitor, and CTV-Canada.
