The film is about the travel guide used by African American motorist to
navigate traveling throughout the United States when racism and segregation
were rampant.

In the segregation era, African American motorists encountered hostility and
intolerance in public accommodations (i.e. hotels, pools, restaurants, etc.).
The Negro Motorist Green Book tells the story of a travel guide that helped
them find safety along the way.
