Dean's Lecture presents

Emily Houh

"On Professors, Podcasts and the Democratization of Elite Knowledge"

Houh will discuss the rise of podcasts as a proliferating course of news, culture, popular history, political analysis and, increasingly, legal knowledge. She will explore the extent to which academics (legal academics, in particular) currently engage in podcasting and on what types of subject matter. Moreover, she will speak to the question of whether they should do so as a way to make "elite" forms of knowledge accessible to more people.
