Thomas Barbee received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from ONU in 1985 and his Ph.D. in chemistry from Wayne State University in 1990. He has enjoyed a 25-year career with ExxonMobil Chemical Company. He currently is a research associate working in process technology and chemistry for specialty polymers. During his career, he’s started up several new processes and manufacturing plants and provided support for company initiatives around the world. Barbee holds 14 patents from his work as a hydrocarbon researcher.
