Are you in a position to hire ONU students for a job or internship or know of an opening in your organization that could be posted for current students to apply? Interested in mentoring a current student or participating in mock interviews? Encourage your company to attend ONU career fairs and conduct on-campus recruiting. ALUMNI CLUB VOLUNTEERS

Alumni Clubs are currently located in Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C. The clubs depend and exist only if there are dedicated volunteers to help plan local events. If there is not a club in your local area and you are interested in starting a new club, please let us know.

The strong bonds of Ohio Northern University remain with us all after we leave the halls of Northern. Whether you find yourself in the great Midwest after graduation, or you head for the sunshine in the south, we encourage you to celebrate your ONU pride with fellow alumni and friends in your geographic region. To help keep Polar Bears connected we have created the Alumni Clubs!

The mission of the ONU Alumni Clubs is to encourage community between alumni, students, parents and friends of the university in their geographic area, to inform local alumni of the state of the university, and to promote ONU locally by sponsoring or organizing activities of any nature, including charitable, educational, social and athletic activities which further the interest of the club members or ONU. The Alumni Clubs’ mission is then carried out by the Alumni Clubs’ volunteer board with the assistance of other volunteer alumni and committees, as well as continued assistance from the office of alumni relations.

Currently, ONU has nine established Alumni Clubs. They are located in; Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Indianapolis, IN, Pittsburgh, PA and Washington, D.C. Each Alumni Club hosts 1-4 events per year.

The possibilities are endless for the Alumni Clubs! If you live in the established Alumni Club locations, you should be receiving notices of area events via mail or e-mail, if not, please update your information here.

This position is an alumni volunteer position within the Office of Admissions and supports the Office of Admissions’ efforts to recruit and enroll a diverse and competitive class of students to ONU.
- Know the expectations of your volunteer role, the University and the Office of Admissions
- Be knowledgeable about the ONU experience, undergraduate admissions and our admissions cycle
- Provide feedback to the Office of Admissions on your volunteer experiences and needs
- Actively participate in volunteer opportunities
- Engage in training opportunities
- Complete volunteer wrap-up items, including logging your volunteer hours and promptly returning any items belonging to the Office of Admissions
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner as a representative of Ohio Northern University
- You must not be a private educational consultant or agent for current and/or prospective applicants
- You must be a graduate of Ohio Northern University
- You must be an effective communicator
- You must have enthusiasm for supporting Ohio Northern University

College Campus Volunteers

Alumni may choose to interview prospective pharmacy students, speak in a class on your area of expertise, or judge a student competition in any one of our colleges. Let us know where you are interested in volunteering, and we will connect you with a representative from that college.
