Masters of Science in Accounting (MSA)


Who is eligible?

  • Qualified transfer students who have completed a two-year accounting program can finish their baccalaureate degrees at ONU and go on to the MSA
  • Qualified accounting graduates
  • Qualified business or other graduates with accounting electives
  • Qualified ONU law students with accounting backgrounds who want to add the graduate accounting degree
  • Qualified public accounting professionals who would like to add the graduate accounting degree on a full- or part-time basis

Admissions criteria for entry into the MSA program include the following:


  • General minimum application and admissions requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with the equivalent in coursework including:
      • Intermediate Accounting I and II
      • Auditing
      • U.S. Federal Taxation
    • Minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • GMAT score of 500 (GMAT not required with an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.25) or LSAT score enabling entry into the College of Law
    • TOEFL score (if applicable) of 600 for paper-based, 250 for computer-based, or 100 for Internet-based test
    • Completion of online application form, including all requested documentation and references.

Any applicant not meeting the minimum admissions requirements will be referred to the graduate faculty for their review and decision.
