Cheyenne Raker, a junior mechanical engineering major, is a pivotal asset to the women’s basketball team at Ohio Northern. Playing varsity basketball has taught Cheyenne the importance of work ethic, communication, collaboration, time management, and how to be a well-rounded person and teammate. These characteristics help Cheyenne not only on the court, but also in the classroom.
Cheyenne enjoys competing and challenging herself physically and mentally, and Ohio Northern was able to provide what she was looking for. From day one, Cheyenne knew she belonged at Ohio Northern because of the small-town feel and the people surrounding her. She felt comfortable and knew she would be set up for success here.
Cheyenne says Ohio Northern continues to challenge her physically and mentally almost every day. “It is challenging, but it is so much more rewarding.”
