LaShonda Gurley obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication with a major in Organizational Communication and a minor in Psychology from Ohio University. She also has a Master of Science degree in Education with a specialization in Leadership for Higher Education from Capella University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Education with Capella University. Mrs. Gurley has over 10 years of experience in higher education gained in both Ohio and Texas. She has worked in various capacities within the academy including, academic advising, instructing, financial aid counseling, first-year student experience and early college awareness. Mrs. Gurley is currently a member of JDOTT (John D. O’Bryant National Think Tank for Blacks in Higher Education), the Young Professionals of the Lima/ Allen County Chamber of Commerce, and the Help Yourself Help Others (HY-HO) Service Club.
International Services Coordinator
Jamienne Scott, BA '11, is the International Services Coordinator at ONU. She received her MA in TESOL/Bilingual Education from the University of Findlay and her BA in Communication Arts and Spanish from Ohio Northern University. She has experience teaching and tutoring in Intensive English Language Programs at the university level, in the U.S. and abroad, and has also worked in the public relations field for a national non-profit and many area businesses/organizations. She is a current member of the National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA) and the TESOL International Association.
Admissions Counselor & Multicultural Advisor
Reginald Onyido, BSBA ’10, serves as an Admissions Counselor and Multicultural Advisor at ONU. He received his MBA in Organizational Management & Human Resource Management from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and his BSBA in Management from Ohio Northern University. He is experienced in recruitment strategies and has also worked in non-profit management. He is current member of the national Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC) and Ohio Association of College admissions Counselors (OACAC).
Advanced Administrative Assistant
Dianne Ricks has been with Ohio Northern University since September 2007. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974 from Bowling Green State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Art. She also holds certifications in network administration and web design from Apollo Career Center. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education degree with a specialization in Leadership at Northcentral University.
