Credential File Information
The Office of Career Services will maintain student and alumni credential files for seven years upon request.
From this point forward, we will only accept closed reference letters in credential files. We will continue to send out those requested but will phase out credential files altogether as most organizations use online application systems which can send an email reference request to individuals listed as references, which eliminates the need for students to request closed references. While not all recruiters use these systems, closed references in written, hard copy form are becoming a thing of the past.
To establish a credential file, you must provide to the Office of Career Services:
Date of Request
Name: first, middle initial, last, maiden or all names used
Address: City, State, Zip
Student ID #
If you haven't already done so, you must also complete a Consent to Release form, click here: Consent to Release Form
