Enrollment
verification for insurance, etc.
Ohio Northern University uses the services of the National Student
Clearinghouse (NSLC) for verification of ALL student enrollments related to
deferment of FFELP loans (Stafford, SLS, PLUS, and C.L. )
Enrollment information will be sent electronically to the NSLC after the
end of the second week of a quarter or third week of a semester and again at
the end of each term.
Students
can print their own enrollment verification 24/7 from the National Student
Clearinghouse by:
- logging on to the ONU
portal Luminis at www.onu.edu
- click on Self Service
- click
on 'National Student Clearinghouse' click on 'Access Self-Service Site'
and follow the instructions.
All forms are computer generated, contain the
student's SSN and DOB, and are printed on Ohio Northern University Registrar's
Office letterhead paper.
Effective the beginning of Fall Quarter
2008-09 ONU students are able to submit Enrollment Verification requests through the ONU web portal (Luminis) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Email requests are NOT acceptable
as federal law, FERPA, requires the student's written signature to release any
document containing the student's SSN.
Enrollment verifications issued BEFORE a term
has begun will clearly state that the student has registered for a term which
has not begun.

Enrollment Verifcation
Request

It is the
student’s responsibility to request the Enrollment Verification
either via the ONU web portal (Luminis),
or
by coming to the Registrar’s Office and completing
the Enrollment Verification Request
form.
Students can check the status of requested Enrollment Verifications on the ONU web portal (Luminis).
Allow a minimum of two (2)
working days for processing Enrollment
Verifications and five (5) for mailed forms to be received.
