Northern Frights

A range of activities were held for students during the week leading up to Halloween.

Sophomore Jordan Weiser passes out candy to 8-year-old Kiera Cash in Affinity West during the Ohio Northern University Office of Residence Life Trick-or-Treat. The annual tradition is open to children from the Ada community.

Sophomore Samuel Powell carves a pumpkin for Moscovium. Students and faculty from Ohio Northern University's Donald J. Bettinger Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry carved pumpkins in the lobby of the Mathile Center for the Natural Sciences. In 2012, with the help of students, staff and faculty, Trilisa Perrine, associate professor of chemistry, carved the symbol of every element on the periodic table. Earlier this year, four more elements were added to the periodic table. Students carved pumpkins for the new elements.
