Biography: 
Prior to beginning at Ohio Northern in 2006, Jennie graduated with distinction from Ohio Northern University and worked in Long Term Care pharmacy at Healthcare Pharmacy in Covington, Ohio.  At ONU she is the Associate Director of Experiential Education, working with the director to coordinate Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPEs) and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences.  She also teaches in the first and second year Profession of Pharmacy courses, especially enjoying patient communication exercises and pharmaceutical calculations.

Profession of Pharmacy 1 (required pharmacy introductory course for 1st year students)

Profession of Pharmacy 2 (required pharmacy introductory course for 1st year students)

Profession of Pharmacy 3, course coordinator (required pharmacy course for 2nd year students emphasizing preparation for Community Pharmacy IPPEs, pharmaceutical calculations, patient education and drug information)

Profession of pharmacy 4, course coordinator (required pharmacy course for 2nd year students emphasizing preparation for Community Pharmacy IPPEs, pharmaceutical calculations, patient education and communication and pharmacy law and applications)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training (required certification for each 5th year student before starting APPEs)

Community IPPEs (establishing relationships with Community IPPE sites and preceptors, evaluating sites and preceptors, mentoring students before and throughout IPPEs, working with the Director and Experiential staff in scheduling 80 hours of Community IPPE for each 2nd/3rd year student, reviewing professional portfolios)

Institutional IPPEs (establishing relationships with Institutional IPPE sites and preceptors, evaluating sites and preceptors, mentoring students before and throughout IPPEs, working with the Director and Experiential staff in scheduling 80 hours of Institutional IPPE for each 3rd/4th year student, reviewing professional portfolios)

Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (establishing relationships with APPE sites and preceptors, evaluating sites and preceptors, mentoring students before and throughout APPEs, working with the Director and Experiential staff in scheduling nine one-month APPEs for each 6th year student, reviewing professional portfolios)

Career Planning (co-coordinator of elective course for 5th year students emphasizing CV development, goal writing, interviewing skills, contract evaluation, networking and career transitioning)
