Constructive Spring Break
This week, 130 students, faculty and staff from Ohio Northern University are spending spring break taking part in Habitat for Humanity's Collegiate Challenge. Three groups of Polar Bears are helping build homes in Dade City, Florida; Davidson, North Carolina; and Jackson, Mississippi.
While each included its own unique adventures, one thing they all have in common is the opportunity to help families fulfill dreams of adequate and affordable housing.
Habitat for Humanity is ONU's largest student organization and is active in the Ada community, Hardin County and around the country, building homes and changing lives. They have participated in Alternative Spring Break trips for more than 20 years.
"Habitat for Humanity of Ohio Northern is grateful for the support of our university community, our parents, families, and friends, without whom we would not be able to make these trips," says ONU Chaplain and ONU Habitat advisor David MacDonald. "Through Habitat for Humanity and our dedicated student volunteers, Ohio Northern University is making a difference far and wide."
