Orientation Checklist

The dates listed below are for students starting at ONU in fall 2018

[  ]  Activate your ONU email account As soon as your receive your information in the mail
[  ]  Register for Summer Orientation As soon as you receive your invitation in the mail, by June 1
[  ]  Review your information to ensure it is correct.    As soon as you have your username and password
[  ] 

Living on campus? Sign-up for on-campus housing with Residence Life.
Planning to commute? Complete the off-campus approval form.

As soon as you receive your information in the mail, by June 28
[  ]  Join the 2018 Polar Bears on Facebook As soon as you want to connect with other incoming students!
[  ]  Get started with the Summer Reading Program As soon as possible.
[  ]  Take your Modern Language Placement test online As soon as possible
[  ]  Sign up for your TREX course online (Arts and Sciences students only) Sign up as soon as possible for best course selection beginning March 8
[  ]  Complete your Medical History Form and Tuberculosis Screening Form and bring to Summer Orientation. Bring to SUMMER ORIENTATION (if complete)
[  ]  All Incoming Pharmacy students need to read the Technical Standards (Appendix G) then print, complete and return the Technical Standards Form at Summer Orientation Bring to Summer Orientation
[  ]  Have your official transcripts sent to the Admissions Office for any college-level classes you have already completed. As soon as they are available after completion of the course(s)
[  ]  Sign up for Nixle Alerts Before coming to SUMMER ORIENTATION
[  ]  Register for classes, engage with new students and learn about various campus resources. During SUMMER ORIENTATION

Purchase your parking permit. A parking permit is needed for all students with a vehicle, whether residing on campus or commuting to campus. Beginning July 1
[  ]  If you are a Federal Direct and/or Health Professions Loan borrower, you need to sign your Master Promissory Notes and complete entrance counseling online. Beginning in July
[  ]  View your student bill to see how much you owe for the Fall semester. Also, decide if you want your parents to have access to your bill o assist with payments and questions about your account.  Payment plans can be set up online through eBills site if you wish to use one. July
[  ]  Set up a payment plan online through eBills if you plan to make payments throughout the semester instead of paying your bill prior to the start of the term.   July
[  ]   View your bill online through eBills and be sure your balance is paid in full by either paying off your account, setting up a payment plan, or ensuring your financial aid will cover your balance due.   July/August
[  ]  Submit your completed Medical History Form and Tuberculosis Screening Form to the Health Center. Submit by August 1
[  ]  Signup for electronic refunds if you wish to have overpayments directly deposited into your bank account.    By August 20
[  ]  Complete the Campus Clarity Course after the information is sent to you via email in August. Before Welcome Weekend
[  ]  Complete the 2018 Summer Common Reading Program.  Before Welcome Weekend
[  ]  Prepare for Opening Weekend and the first day of class. Two weeks before classes begin
[  ]  Arrive on campus for new student Move-In Day (beginning at 8:00am) August 16
