Below is a brief description of the service projects we currently facilitate and new projects that we have been working on. |

Service projects |
|
Gamma Mu ushers all of the recitals, concerts, and auditions in Presser Recital hall and hosts receptions in Presser lobby upon request. Chapter members also help maintain the appearance of the recital hall. |

Before classes begin, chapter members collaborate to fill music folders with music that instrumentalists will play throughout the course of the year. |

TBS helps in a variety of aspects with respect to Marching Band. Projects involve aiding in marching band members and alumni mailings, registration and move-in, planning social events during band camp, providing water during practice, hemming and tailoring uniforms, providing post half-time snacks for the band for home games, logistical and financial support for the marching band’s international travel, survival kits for any trip, registration for Alumni band Homecoming weekend, support during the high school ‘Spend a Day with the ONU Marching Band,’ as well as numerous other day to day logistical support. |

Chapter members help to maintain the order and cleanliness of the ONU Instrumental Music Library. |

Chapter members help facilitate the University’s Green Direction by monitoring and maintaining the recycling bins throughout Presser Hall, the music building. |

ONU Recycles |
|
Every spring the music department hosts Spring Band Festival, a concert featuring a high school honors band comprised of students from around the area. TBS supports this event by preparing mailings, planning the weekend schedule, providing overnight housing for high school students for the weekend, facilitating an on campus social event for visiting students, setting the band stage for all ensembles during rehearsals and the concert, preparing high school meals over the course of the weekend, and further logistical support. |

Service to ONU Campus and Community |

During the football and basketball seasons, Sisters organize a traveling pep band of ONU band members to visit and support local high school music programs at various athletic venues. |

Every year, Ada High School hosts a music festival featuring high school jazz bands and show choirs. Sisters assist with the event in a variety of different ways. |

Every year Gamma Mu sponsors a Girl Scout Music Badge Clinic that allows Brownie Troops from around the area to come to ONU for a day and fulfill the requirements for their Music Badge. |

Sisters maintain two miles of local highway through the Adopt-a-Highway program. Maintenance trash pick-ups are organized multiple times throughout the year. |

Sisters support various events of the local hospice service by means of logistic support, ushering, and publicity. |

During the Holiday Season, Gamma Mu supports the Kappa Phi Sing-a-Thon and shares the joy of music with campus and community members. |

Gamma Mu is building a CD music library to begin a music outreach program for local elderly and shut-in through Ada Visiting Nurses. |

TBS is collaborating with the Ada High School Music Department to plan and facilitate an annual High School Marching Band Festival. |

Sisters have worked to establish a scholarship for a local high school senior woman planning to major in music during her college career. |
