- Everyone had a chance to suggest ideas for monthly meeting service projects so if you have any more ideas, let me know (j-purgert@onu.edu) or you can post your ideas on the Newman Club facebook page (ONUNewmanClub).

- Designs for the Newman Club t-shirt are due to Ashley Neltner by October 7th so we can have the t-shirts by the time we get back from Thanksgiving break. Ashley is unit box 2694 or email her a-neltner@onu.edu

- We nominated Ashley and Pete for Homecoming king and queen so VOTE FOR ASHLEY AND PETE!!!

- Everyone also had a chance to make suggestions for "fun" events for Newman club this year along with times that are good for you. If you have any ideas please email me or post the ideas on the Newman club facebook page.

- If you know anyone who would like to be getting Newman club emails, email me their name so I can add them to the list.

- If you would be interested in joining the Newman choir, you can email me and I will notify them that you would like to join.

- If you would like to get certified to drive the van on Sundays to go to church, email me and let me know.

- We are having a Kairos retreat in January on MLK weekend. We are trying to fundraise to lower the cost, so if you have any fundraising ideas, again, please email me or post it on the Newman Club facebook page.

- On homecoming day, October 10th, we are having our first Kairos fundraiser. It is going to be a cornhole tournament. If you are interested in helping that day. I will send out an email later with ships.

- There was also a Food Pantry sign up to sign up to work at the Ada food pantry. If you are interested (you can get service hours for this) please let me know.

- On October 3rd we are having our Newman Club fall retreat. We were planning on going to 5pm mass that day then having pizza and our retreat, then possibly going to a haunted cornfield afterwards. If you would like to come and have not yet signed up, again, please email me.

- Also, the newman book club, B to the 3, (a.k.a. the Bodacious Book Brigade) is the first Monday of every month and our first meeting will be October 5th at 7pm. If you have any suggestions for books to read, please email me with the suggestions.

- This year for church outreach, we are planning on working with the PSR students at OLL. If you would be interested in helping and have not yet signed up, again, please email me.

- If you are interested in helping at chapel masses, please email me and let me know. There will be a training session after chapel mass next Sunday, September 27th. (it is contemporary mass is this Sunday so mass starts in the chapel at 8:30 pm).

- We also need song requests and singers for contemporary masses. If you have any ideas, again, email me.

- Our faculty advisor is Dr. Milks. His office number is RE 237. If there is anything you need that you think he can help you with, feel free to stop by and ask.

- Our Catholic chaplain/ Newman Club advisor is Fr. Dave Young. Fell free to contact him as well.
