What I like best about ONU Men's Volleyball: The excellence we are striving for and achieving in our program and the personalities of the guy’s on the team.  We have quite the variety.  It also means a great deal to me how the alumni stay in touch and follow the team; it reinforces for me that we are doing things right in our program.

What I like best about Ohio Northern: The sincerity of the students, faculty, and staff I've found here.

Favorite Volleyball Drill: 5 Ball & the Louisville drill

Least Favorite Volleyball Drill: One's where I have to hit a lot at the team. My arm feels like it is about to fall off.

Greatest Volleyball Memories:
Player: 1) Being down 11-14 in rally scoring and beating Graceland 16-14 my senior year in front of my family. 2) Scoring Match point against #2 Ohio State my last year at Iowa State to put us into the gold playoffs at nationals and turning around to see how excited our whole team was after we had played with both of our setters on the bench due to injuries.  It was the gutsiest performance by a team I've ever seen in volleyball as a player or coach.
Coach: 1) Beating top ranked Eckerd our first year at nationals in 1995. 2) The belief system of the team in coming back to beat Millersville at Nationals in 2001. 3) The trip to Wisconsin in 2002.  It was one of those magical weekends both on and off the court. 4) Beating #1 Santa Clara at nationals in 2004. 5) Winning nationals in 2007.  It still makes me smile every time I think about it.
