    Mission

Habitat for Humanity's mission is to eliminate substandard housing worldwide by building decent, inexpensive, adequate homes for families who need them. Habitat is not a giveaway, rather the homeowners repay the mortgage over time. ONU Habitat has the further mission of providing an atmosphere of Christian service and fellowship for the entire ONU student community.

We typically work on one or more homes in the Hardin County area during the school year. Each Spring Break, we take at least two trips to other parts of the country for a whole week. About 100 students are able to participate in the trips. The cost is typically under $100 and includes all meals, housing, and transportation.

    Meetings

Habitat Meetings are at 8:00 pm on Monday nights in the Chapel sanctuary. We usually do one game/activity, discuss work and fundraising opportunities, and have a devotional. As Spring Break approaches, the meetings will focus more on our trips.
