Fall Quarter:
The Dance Team captain starts the season with a table at Welcome Fest. This is a time where new students can go to the tables of different organization to collect information. Students are given a wide variety of organizations to look at, and it shows students how involved they can be on campus. Dancers seeking information about the Dance Team can talk with the captain and take away information about the team and tryouts. Welcome Fest usually falls on Labor Day. Clinics and tryouts are usually held within the first two to three weeks of school. This allows for plenty of time with ordering new uniforms and practicing for other fall events. For more information about the Dance Team clinics and tryouts, click on the TRYOUTS page. Recently, the dance team has marched in one parade during the football season. There are two to pick from, Homecoming and Harvest and Herb. Dancers perform a short routine while walking the parade route. The big performances during fall quarter are the pregame show of a Varsity Football game and halftime of the Men's Varsity Soccer game. Dancers arrive early to perform before the Ohio Northern Marching Band takes the field.

Winter Quarter:

The “season” actually begins for dancers in winter quarter. This is when actual practices two times a week begin, and it is also when Varsity Boy’s Basketball games begin. Dancers perform at all home games, taking turns choreographing routines. The game before Christmas Break is usually a Christmas kick-line routine. Dancers wear Santa hats and red costumes in honor of the holiday. The Dance Team does one fundraiser during the course of the season. Usually occurring sometime in January, the dancers host a clinic for community and surrounding community students. More information about the clinic can be found on the KID’S CLINIC page. Sometime during the season, the Dance Team may perform at a competition. For more information about competitions, click on the COMPETITION page.

Spring Quarter:

The season for the Dance Team ends in early May with a banquet. Dancers are rewarded for their excellence not only on the team but academically as well. This is also where the new captain is announced.
