- Anniversary
In 2009 the Black Rose Rugby team will be in existence for exactly 30 years!
As a special gesture we have started this celebratory year by offering anniversary game jerseys to all our known Black Rose Alumni. The current team will play in these old school shirts this whole year as a testament to our 30 year legacy. The demand for shirts was so high (over sixty were ordered by current players and alumns) that the manufacturer had to postpone delivery. They ran out of fabric!
The most important part of the celebrations will be the Alumni Game. We are expecting a grand turn-out. We are looking at scheduling two games:
- Recent alumni against the current team and
- An all-star team from the seventies and eighties versus the alumns from the nineties.
After the games a campus tour, combined with a traveling social, will offer you plenty of opportunity to catch up with your former rugby mates.
For a great time, a good old rugby fest, and reliving some of those college years; note this date in your Agenda, and inform your former class mates:
