Welcome to Ohio Northern University's student chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery.

What is the ACM?  The ACM is a professional organization that promotes the advancement and exchange of information in the computing field.  Members of the National ACM have access to many publications and online resources to stay updated on the ever changing and fast paced computer field.  National members are also informed of conferences and contests that the ACM sponsors throughout the year. For more information on the National ACM go to www.acm.org.

The ONU ACM strives to enhance learning outside of the classroom in the forms of speakers, tours, and workshops. Some examples of past ACM activities include: fall and spring picnics, resume workshop, tour of local semiconductor manufacturer, and a speaker on super computing.  To be a part of the local ACM chapter here at Northern it is not required that you be a national member, but it is encouraged.  Being part of the ACM is also a great opportunity for computer science and engineering students to start networking with people.

If you have any questions about the ACM feel free to contact any of our officers.
