The Student Investment Group was created in 1989 to help students learn how to invest by managing a portfolio. The primary mission is to meet our benchmark, Standard & Poor's 500. We strive to attain this mission by meeting two objectives: learning about stock investment through research and discussion, and maintaining the future existence of the group by selecting new members and maintaining a diverse portfolio.
